It is a true blessing to have you join us on the journey of the Christian life. Our ministry started from a perceived need of calm amidst the storms of modern life. Even our discipleship as Christians is not immune to the influences of our busy culture. Christspace seeks to build up the body of Christ through time tested prayer techniques from two millenia of Christian practice. The goal is to gain attention and focus on the ever present miracle of the grace of God in our lives. With a more fruitful prayer life, you will create more Christspace in your life.
Why Mindful Prayer?
Our culture distracts us in many ways from being mindful of the presence of Christ, particularly when we try to pray. Our brains get trained to multi-task and to check our phones every minute for a notification. It is no wonder many Christians find it hard to really develop a deep and intimate relationship with God through prayer. St. Paul exhorts believers to "rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you" (1 Thess. 5:16-18). The Psalmist proclaims "Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day" (Psalm 119:97). How can we get back to a Biblical lifestyle of prayer and communion with God?The answer is to first "be still and know that I am God" (Psalm 46:10). To address this charge of the Psalmist, Christspace has developed a unique mindful prayer practice in combination with traditional and contemplative prayer practices, which literally retrains and rewires the brain to be able to focus and develop holy thought patterns. Your prayer life will bear much fruit since you will be able to stop and pick the fruit freely offered by God instead of rushing by it in a whirl. Other benefits include less stress, more clarity of thought, stronger relationships, and even more creative energy to engage in meaningful work.

After the challenge, upgrade your account to take our Mindful Foundations program, where you will learn several advanced mindful prayer techniques. You can also take advantage of the Guided Prayers topical series, which addresses specific needs in stress reduction, creativity, and other areas. Meet the Team
Daniel Haynes, Ph.D.
Forever a student of the Christian life, Daniel has lectured and taught philosophy and theology for over a decade in various colleges and universities. He has a Ph.D. in theology from the University of Nottingham in Nottingham, United Kingdom, an MDiv. in theology from Baylor University, and a B.A. in Biblical Studies, minor in Philosophy from Dallas Baptist University. He desires to know God with all of his mind, heart, and strength. He is blessed with a wife and two wonderful children.
Heather is a closet mystic who has always been deeply drawn to the rich contemplative traditions of the Christian faith. She has a B.S. in Psychology and is a certified Life Coach. She enjoys spending borderline unhealthy amounts of time with her husband and daughter, pondering God’s mysteries, movies, travel and may have a debilitating addiction to books and hot baths.
Jaudon is a marketing guru, who has a strong track record of building effective enterprise IT management strategies that produce results, bolstered by over a decade of leadership experience providing guidance and direction to commercial clients with respect to all facets of IT infrastructure. He is a dedicated husband and father who believes in need for developing depth in Christian formation.
